People like our paellas because they're homemade. We make them here, one pan at a time, and that's why they taste the way they should.
Market produce, time and skill, nothing else. That's the secret of the honest price we offer our customers.
At midday the people who work in the neighbourhood have lunch. In the evening, people passing through Barcelona have dinner. The same table and the same dishes for everyone.
And we make them for one person, with no minimum of two.

Here, sharing is a philosophy: everything goes to the middle of the table, and it keeps coming until nobody's hungry. Pan con tomate, bravas, croquetones de jamón, gambas al ajillo still sizzling when they land. Authentic tapas, the way a Spanish restaurant in Barcelona serves them.

Santa Anna is a family restaurant serving Catalan cuisine in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, run by the same family since 1929: one of the traditional Catalan restaurants of the old town.
The house started out as a delicatessen with a bar, and the grill and the restaurant came later. It sold cold cuts, cured sausage, cheese, butter from the Pyrenees, game and pastries. The cold meats Josep Vila cured himself made his name, and they were what brought the customers in.
