What cookies are

A cookie is a file downloaded to the user’s device when certain web pages are accessed, which makes it possible to store and retrieve information about their browsing. The term also covers other storage and retrieval technologies that work in a comparable way.

Consent and withdrawal

On first access to the Website a notice is displayed allowing the user to accept or refuse the installation of non-essential cookies. Until the user states a preference, only strictly necessary technical cookies are used: no measurement takes place, no advertising cookies are activated and the embedded map is not loaded.

Refusing is as straightforward as accepting, and consent may be withdrawn at any time from the same notice. The user’s decision is also passed to the resOS reservation form, whose measurement cookies are subject to it.

The embedded map additionally has a permission of its own, which the user may grant for the loading of the map alone, without enabling measurement or advertising.

  Within its own frame, resOS loads Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, PostHog and Cloudflare Turnstile, the last of these serving to distinguish a user from an automated system.

Third-party cookies

Disabling cookies in the browser

Users may allow, block or delete installed cookies through their browser’s settings. Blocking all cookies does not prevent the pages from being read, but it may affect the operation of the map and of the reservation form.

This policy is updated whenever one of the tools listed is added or removed, in which case the user’s consent is requested again. The date of the last update appears at the foot of this page.
